How does Afriex work?

Afriex is a money-transfer platform which allows you make instant and affordable money transfers at home and abroad. With Afriex you can send money from (USA, UK, Canada, and Europe (France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania and Belgium) to Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya,  Uganda, Ivory Coast, Egypt, and Pakistan.

Is Afriex Secure?

Afriex is very secure. We take the security of your personal information seriously. We encrypt all personal data, so your info is always safe. We are P ayment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. Your information will never be compromised and we will never sell your data.

How do I send money to another Afriex user?

  1. Click on the $ sign at the bottom of the app.
  2. Click the flag at the top right of the page to select the currency of your choice.
  3. Type in the amount you want to send then press 'SEND'
  4. Search for the user in the 'SEARCH BY $USERNAME' box.
  5. Input a comment where it says 'TYPE IN A COMMENT'

How do I send money to an international bank account?

How do I send money to a mobile money account?

  2. Click the Ghana/Kenya/Uganda flag at the top right of the page to select the currency of your choice
  3. Type in the amount you want to send, then press SEND

What are your fees and rates?

How much money can I send?

You can send up to 3000 USD per day.

What Payment Methods do you accept?

At this time Afriex only accept debit cards. We do not not accept Credit, Prepaid Cards, or Paypal.

Do I have to upload my ID?

As part of the regulations in the countries where we operate, we are required to verify the identity of every Afriex user.

How do I know my funds are delivered?

You will receive an email notifying you when your funds are delivered.

How do I reset my password?

If you signed in with Google, tap the 'Sign in with gmail' button when signing in and select the google account that you created your account with. If you signed up with another email address, click 'Already have an account? Log in', then click on 'Forgot Password' to recover your password. You can also watch this video to reset your password.

How to reset my PIN?

If you enter the wrong pin three times, the app will display the message 'You have exceeded your allowed number of attempts," and it will log you out. To reset your PIN log in again to create a new pin.

How do I process a refund?

How long does it take to process a refund?

1-7 business days.

How do I cancel a transaction?

If the funds have not been transferred to the recipient's account, you can call or email us to begin processing your refund. Once the transfer is delivered, no refund or cancellation is possible.

How do I delete/deactivate my account?

We regret to learn that you have decided to close your account. Before proceeding, please ensure that all outstanding balances are settled and any ongoing transactions are completed. As a regulated financial institution, we must retain certain personal information for compliance purposes. However, we will remove any unnecessary data and continue to safeguard your existing information securely. To initiate the closure of your Afriex account, please complete the provided form. ‍ Alternatively, you can send a request via email to hello@afriex.co, and our team will promptly handle your request.
